Following the success of Litter Blitz #2 – we’ll be in our community working hard again in a few weeks. Here are the details and everything you need to get involved.

Each month in 2018 GMDT Environment team, supported by Morpeth Lions and various Litter Groups, are planning a Litter Blitz through specific areas of Morpeth, the April Blitz aims to hit the streets of Morpeth Town and its outlying estates e.g. Goosehill, Gashouse Lane, Abbey view streets. Come and help us make a difference by clearing up litter that has in some places been there for 20 years or more. You may even find money while doing—one of our litter pickers found £5 in March It is a very therapeutic for you—you will meet like minded people and have a pleasant 1.5 hours. To express an interest, can you please contact the organiser below—we have a max. no. of about 40 litterpickers available, we would not want you to waste your time arriving only to be told there is no equipment available, any suggestion to picking up litter up by hand is just not safe!
