Morpeth Lions at Fair Day

Morpeth Lions were out in force for Morpeth Fair Day at their gazeebo selling raffle  numbers for their wheelbarrow full of groceries.  The wheelbarrow was packed to overflowing with groceries and the lucky winner, Mr Smith of Morpeth, not only received the groceries but the wheelbarrow as well.  Also in the gazeebo was Alison offering face painting for the youngsters and any willing adults.

The weather was perfect until mid-afternoon when a heavy prolonged shower sent the crowds home early.  In spite of that the Lions raise almost £270 for local charities and good causes.
