Morpeth Lions and the Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline

The Lions Club of Morpeth has a long-standing relationship with the fabulous Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline. Established in 1992, the charity exists to support children and their families affected by the world’s worst nuclear disaster. Since its inception, 46,000 children have been hosted by UK families for recuperative 4 week breaks and many more have been assisted with medicines and by supporting local organisations.

This year our close ties saw Lions hosting and funding a Garden Party for a group of Belorussian children during their recuperative break.
